SAROJ KHAN BIOPIC
On Saturday, on the first death anniversary of the late choreographer, it was announced to make a film on the life of Saroj Khan. This film will bring alive the story of Saroj’s struggle and success. Saroj is acknowledged as India’s first successful female choreographer. The details about the film have not been officially announced yet.
Sukaina Khan, daughter of the late choreographer said, “My mother was loved and respected by the entire industry, but we have seen her struggle and fight closely to be who she was. We hope to express with this biopic, his story, his love for us, his passion for dance and his love for his actors and his respect for the profession with this biopic.”
Saroj’s son Raju Khan (choreographer) said that “My mother loved dancing and we all saw how she dedicated her life to it. I am glad that I followed in his footsteps. My mother was loved and respected by the industry and it is an honor for us, for her family that the world can see her story.”
It is to be known that Saroj Khan died on July 3 last year at the age of 71 due to cardiac arrest.
